When Starr and co-owner Kim Boyle decided to work outside of Hooker Tea’s business model by serving beer and wine, they had to rebrand. In June, Hooker Tea in Tampa became Infusions Lounge. Hooker Tea still serves as Lounge’s tea distributor.

The lounge is noted for their quiches and pizzas, which are baked using “tea infused” ingredients. Eric Starr, who does all the baking, does this by marinating meats and vegetables in certain teas, such as Chai Rooibos or Citron Oolong. A strong proponent in supporting the local economy, Starr buys his ingredients at the Tampa Produce Market off Hillsborough Ave.
