Reading Co-operative Celebrates 125th Anniversary With Contests, Prizes
Reading Co-operative Bank is approaching its 125th anniversary, and celebrating by giving away cash and prizes to lucky area residents.
The bank recently launched its "Wear It to Win It" contest, where customers can pick up free hats at Reading Co-operative Bank branches and earn rewards if the customer is spotted wearing the hat outside the bank.
Other events include the Kids Coloring Sweepstakes, and prizes include iPads, cash and gas cards.

In just 4 months, Reading Co-operative Bank will officially mark its 125th anniversary, but the celebration has already begun! There are numerous activities and events planned for the community to participate in the excitement and countdown to the November 22 anniversary day.
Events already underway include the Wear it to Win it! hat campaign, the Kids Coloring Sweepstakes, and a charitable giving initiative through the Bank’s Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/readingcoop ). Other activities, events, and chances to win cash and prizes are planned, and will be posted to www.readingcoop.com/celebration as details become available.
Shanna Cahalane, Marketing Director for Reading Co-operative Bank, explained how the Wear it to Win it! contest works, “Just pick up a free anniversary hat at any of our branches and wear it around Town or to any number of community events, and if our spotters find you, you win cash on the spot!” Upcoming events where Hat Trackers could be on the lookout are the Reading & North Reading Chamber of Commerce Run for Your Supper, the Boys & Girls Club of Woburn Golf Tournament, and the Friends of Reading Recreation Road Race. Cahalane added, “If you’re spotted wearing your RCB hat at the Reading Street Faire on September 11, you could be eligible to win an iPad®, $150 U.S. Savings Bonds, gas cards and more.”
The Kids Coloring Sweepstakes is an opportunity for those 12 and under to win prizes, as well. $150 U.S. Savings Bonds and movie tickets will go to the winners of the contest. Entry forms, featuring a celebration cupcake, are available at all Reading Co-op branches or can be downloaded from the website. The contest will conclude on September 6, 2011.
