Wed.-Sat., Aug. 3-6: 7 p.m. Arts Outreach Summer Youth Community Theater presents "Crazy For You" at the Santa Ynez Valley High School Little Theater. Fri., Aug. 5: 5:30 to 9:45 p.m. Parents Night Out at SYV Presbyterian Church, 1825 Alamo Pintado Road at Baseline Road. A night out for parents while their kids have supervised movies, snacks, crafts and play time. Free for the first visit. $10 per child thereafter. Reservations required. 688-6323. Fri., Aug. 12: 7 to 9 p.m. Santa Ynez Valley Therapeutic Riding Program and the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Association are holding a joint benefit at the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Center at 195 Refugio Road, Santa Ynez. Showcasing world-class riders Ramon Becerra, Sandy Collier and Charlotte Bredahl-Baker. Hors d'oeuvres and wine; local equestrian art on display. Tickets are $50 per person and available at the gate. Proceeds go to the Santa Ynez Valley Therapeutic Riding Program and the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Association. 325-1544.

Kings of Leon Cancel US Tour - Rock Edition | Rock News ...
Kings of Leon have decided to cancel their US tour. The following statement was posted on the band’s website:
“We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break. Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band’s international tour schedule. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Tickets purchased online or via phones will be automatically refunded. The band will resume touring in Canada at the Rogers Center in Vancouver, BC, on September 28th. That show was originally scheduled for September 14th.”
Recently, while the band was in Dallas, Caleb Followill reportedly had a meltdown on stage due to heat exhaustion and dehydration. A day after the group’s show, bassist Jared Followill tweeted , “I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”
